Infranode is pleased to announce that Erik Botnevik has joined its team as Country Lead Norway and Nordic Lead Telecom
Erik Botnevik joins from SEB Corporate Finance in Oslo, where he was head of Nordic telecom advisory and covered Norwegian infrastructure. He has over 15 years transaction and business development experience, including management positions at Telenor Group where he was head of the Groups investment strategy and portfolio development teams. Erik Botnevik has over 10 years’ experience as advisor on Norwegian telecom, energy and infrastructure transactions for leading investment banks ABN AMRO, Citi and SEB.
Infranode currently owns 33% of Norwegian district heat company Akershus Energi Varme, and sees significant potential for further investments in Norwegian infrastructure. Erik Botnevik will focus on further developing its Norwegian business with a focus on transport, energy, telecom and social infrastructure investments – in partnership with Norwegian municipalities and the rest of public sector as well as private businesses.
“We are excited about Erik joining our team and reinforcing our commitment to Norway as one of our home markets. Infranode already has one strong asset in Norway and is currently engaged in a number of live investment opportunities so the timing is perfect.” says Co-founding partner Philip Ajina
In addition to his focus on Norway, Erik Botnevik will strengthen Infranode’s focus on the Nordic telecom sector. There are currently significant investment requirements in this sector, e.g. high-speed broadband across the Nordic region. Infranode will, as a potential partner to municipalities and telecom operators, seek to facilitate further broadband investments.
Erik Botnevik holds a B.Sc. from London School of Economics and an M.Sc. from Cass Business School. He is a Norwegian citizen and is based in Oslo.
